Sympathy cards

I never seem to have a sympathy card on hand when I need one. My monthly club made this one yesterday. It looks a little washed out in the photo but the colors were pinks and brown. I attached a small scrap of ribbon with a glue dot and inked up the stamp with markers.

I actually need to send a sympathy card today and I wanted it to be more masculine. I copied the same layout, same stamp set, just changed up the colors a bit.

Greetings from Key West

Key West is famous for having the most beautiful sunsets in the world. We have been here since Sunday and have seen one every night.

This is just a really cool boat that was passing by while we were down at Mallory Square. Mallory Square is down at the bottom tip of Key West, its the spot where everyone waits for the sun to set. There are all kinds of crazy street performers like fire jugglers and tight rope walkers to entertain while waiting for the sunset.
If I am lucky, I will bring home some sunshine for Erie, PA!

A Pirates Life...

I have been neglecting my 12x12 scrapbooking for so long. So at the crop last Saturday I decided that was what I was working on... no excuses!
My little buddy Sammy was a pirate last Halloween, go-tee and all. I used paper and stickers from the Karen Foster pirate collection. I had been waiting a long time to use this paper and these pictures were perfect!

Monogram Notecard Class

The JustRite monogram stamper has been a big hit at the shop lately. It's one of my favorites, and I have had many requests to do a class on it from people who have still not tried it out.

In this class we will be making a set of 4 notecards with envelopes and a notecard holder.

All of the cards will be personalized with the initials of your choice. You can keep this set for yourself but would also make a great gift too!

Class Dates:

Saturday, Feb. 28th @11 am. (FULL) or 2 pm.
Wednesday, March 4th @ 1 pm (1 SPOT LEFT) and 6 pm. (1 SPOT LEFT)
Saturday, March 7th @ 11 am. (1 SPOT LEFT)
Sunday, March 8th @ 1 pm. (1 SPOT LEFT)

Cost: $10

Supplies Needed:
Adhesive, pop dots, and patience.... we will be taking turns switching out letters.

Side Note: I will be out of town from Feb. 14th thru Feb. 21st so if you need to get in touch with me during those times just send me an email, I will still have my computer with me.

Monkey Wrench!

Get it?

I just got in some cute new brads with tools... small hammers and wrenches. This card is the same layout as the Valentine one below except that I put a wrench in his hand. I always need guy type cards and I think this one is perfect for some of the men in my family!

I used Copic markers to color Changito and Nestabilities to cut the scallop and circle.

Ahoy!

I love the cute retro looking images of "The Cat's Pajamas" stamps. I had some (Karen Foster)paper left over from a Pirate layout I did so I thought it would go great with these stamps. There is also a cute little skull and crossbones that I stamped on the inside of the card. I used the "Labels 2" Nestabilities set to cut and emboss the focal point.

This is a close up of my best attempt at a Pirate flag!
