Flippin' burgers

Originally, this Changito stamp came out as a summer release. The more I thought about it, I realized you could make a cute Valentine with it too. I think this would make a good card for a guy or a girl. But with the whole grilling thing, I think guys could relate to this one!

Clear stamp holder *Special* !

Previously I posted about the 7 Gypsies clear stamp holder. It's a carousel style spinning organizer for your clear stamp sets.

I love trying new ways to get organized (at least with my scrapbook stuff...) and I wasnt sure I would like this holder due to the fact the pockets seemed too small for all brands of stamps.

Well, I ordered in some of the refill packs to add to the stamp holder. THEY are larger... I am not sure why the refills are bigger in size but it makes it so I can use this for all my stamps now.

So.... Here is my special deal.

Purchase or pre-order a 7 Gypsies revolving stamp holder and receive an extra pack of refills FREE! The refills come as a pack of 10 for $5.

Fun Flock video tutorial

Ever wondered what you are supposed to do with flocking? Its a type of powder that makes your stamped images feel velvety! Stampendous has a great video tutorial that shows you exactly what to do.
The flock I sell is Doodlebug, but its all the same...

On the side bar there are other good videos, check them out when you have time.

Last minute monograms

I have been busy putting together some last minute cards for my mom and sisters to give them with their Christmas gifts.

I used the JustRite monogram stamper to put together some sets of monogramed cards for them. I picked out some colors and papers that I thought fit their personalities best.

I kept the card layout the same for the sake of saving time!

A couple of punches and pop dots later...

I wrapped them in a cello bag and tied a ribbon around them for looks.

No cookies

I did not bake even one cookie this year.... Oh well.

Feeling like this yet??

You may have read this before, it's a cute poem that was forwarded to me by a couple people.

Twas the night before Christmas, I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cuttlebug, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him, "Hi Santa, " I said
"You know....good little girls should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa, and now I've been caught.
But I was just so excited To see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work."
He shook his head quickly, And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear.
"You've got enough crap, I'll see you next year!"

Clear stamp holder

I just ordered in one of the 7 Gypsies clear stamp holders. It has a metal base that turns and clear pockets that snap on and off. It works pretty good to keep your clear stamps organized.

The base comes with 10 pockets that can fit 2 stamp sets in it. There are also extra packs of clear pockets you can get separately, which you will most likely need. The stamp holder retails for 39.95 and I will have a few coming in on Tuesday or Wednesday this coming week.

My only complaint with this item would be that the pockets should be bigger. Most of my stamps will fit inside the pockets, but some wont. For example, Penny Black stamps are too big to fit. If you want me to hold one for you just send me an email and I will set one a side.

A really, really homemade card!

I needed to give Ty's babysitter a little something extra for Christmas but didn't have a card around the house. It was the evening and all my supplies were down at the shop so I dug up some plain colored cards with envelopes and put Tyler to work.

I gave Tyler some crayons and told him to draw something "Christmassy".

Bobby even helped Tyler make a Santa and then he signed the inside.

He was so proud of his first ever handmade card!

Chocolate Wishes

I was getting some small Christmas gifts together and thought I would use the Baking set from JustRite Stampers. I made a nugget tin (called that because you an put 12 Heshey Nugget candies inside perfectly) with some Basic Grey "Blush" paper and stamped the tag for the top. I used the scallop and regular Nestabilities circle sets to layer the inner circle.

This pic shows you how easy the borders and centers can be interchanged with each other. They fit right into the grooves on the wood handle, this specific set has 6 centers and 6 borders.

Monkeys in space!

I am loving this new stamp set from Stampendous called "Changitos in Space". It has several images of Changito flying around in rockets and space ships with cute sayings to match.

I used the star shaped Nestabilities to cut and emboss the stars. I added a few red gems to the card below for some sparkle.

I think I will send the red, white, and blue card to my brother serving in Iraq. He isnt in the Air Force, he actually works on tanks for the Army. This card just has a patriotic feel to it and I am very proud of him!

Ice Crystal cards

I made a couple cards today using the Cuttlebug folder called "Ice Crystal". This folder has a cutting template and the embossing folder included together.

I embossed the snowflake then attached the light blue gems to it. The wording is from a clear Stampendous set and says "May your Holiday Season be Bright and Sparkly".
This card uses the same snowflake, but I cut it out before putting it in the embossing folder. The square on the card was cut out by using the square Nestabilities set. Its very hard to see in th picture but the snowflake has Glimmer Mist sprayed on it to sparkle it up a bit. More Glimmer Mist spray will be coming in next week.

Its all in the packaging...

I just got some new tins in that are so cute for Christmas. These squarish tins hold 4 Ghiradelli squares perfectly! These make nice little gifts for teachers, co-workers, neighbors, etc.
I also got more of the "Nugget tins" in too. If you are unfamiliar with Nugget tins, click the link on the side bar for "Altered Items".

All I did to decorate this tin was cut a small strip of paper to wrap around and put a matching rub-on on the lid. Very easy!
I also have gift card holders in stock too. These chipboard holders are 5.5 x 5.5 and have a slot to hold a giftcard. I decorated this one to match the tin.

Target has monkey giftcards... in case anyone "needs" one!

New JustRite stamps!

Quite a few new JustRite stamps have arrived! 2 of my favorites are the Christmas ensemble and the Baking ensemble. These 2 sets are larger than the regular 1 5/8" size that I had before. This larger size makes them perfect for cards and gift giving.

They work great with the clear acrylic tins for giving candy and goodies!

These cute samples are not my creations, but they are samples from the JustRite website. You can check out their products and samples at http://www.justritestampers.com/
As soon as I get a chance I will be posting some pictures of my own! These stamps are so fun to use... the options are endless.

Finally done!!

If any of you have been in the shop in the last couple weeks, then you know I have been a little stressed out getting ready for today. I decorated a Christmas tree for the Festival of the Trees this year. The coordinator asked me to make it a scrapbooking tree so I crafted all of the ornaments from paper, chipboard, rub-ons and felt. I am so happy it is finally done!!

Tonight was the opening night party and all of the trees are very beautiful, they really put you in the holiday spirit.

Be sure to stop up at the Courtyard Marriot Wednesday through Sunday to see the beautiful trees all decorated by local designers. The Festival benefits the St. Vincent Cancer Research Center.
